AudioVisual Perception in Interactive Media –
Investigating Point of Audition in game audio
MSc research project
The Point of Audition (POA) is an auditory concept that refers to the audience/user auditory perspective. It has been theorised in many ways over the years; still, its significance in Interactive Media has not been precisely described yet. Through the analysis of previous video games examples, the project will address the implementation of game audio, investigating the spatial relation between the in-game sources and the audio listener, and how this influence the audiovisual perception.
