Born on May 15, 1997. I have always been a music enthusiast and a versatile musician, skilled in several instruments.
I am acute and keen on innovative technologies and programming; genuinely excited for the future of audio technology and the implementation of audio for interactive media in multiple virtual environments.
I am fond of the art of sound design and the importance of sound to enhance the emotional impact of the user experience.

I have a BA in Music Production (Bologna, Italy), and a MSc Music and Audio Technology (York, England). During my development, I had the possibility to travel, meet people with different backgrounds, and work in various fields acquiring valuable experiences and the confidence to succeed in any professional context.

more about me…

I have always been told that since I was a child, I was curious and observant, listening with wonder and amazement to each sound in the world and the nature around me. I approached music thanks to my father; I started collecting records and continuously listening to them at all times. My passion and hunger for musical knowledge led me to study several music instruments: first the piano, then the guitar and lastly the drums. My ongoing seeking and experimentation on instruments were aimed to enhance the passive experience of listening to music, through the active one of physically playing music.

I realised how exciting was sharing my passion and knowledge when I started composing and playing with other musicians, and the several small shows I took part in allowed me to improve and be exposed to the opinions of more experienced artists. It became a priority to share my fondness, to reach and engage the listener.

I acquired a solid academic knowledge during the Music Production undergraduate degree in Bologna (Italy). I had the chance to work with talented musicians, with whom I developed teamwork and leadership skills. I was able to put together a cohesive group of peers with different musical backgrounds, and let them express to the best of their abilities. I actively worked on composition, arrangement, recording and post-production of numerous musical projects of various genres. These formative years led me to explore new areas of music and deepen my knowledge.

Experiences outside the Music Production course attendance gave me more confidence with the tools of the trade. With the internship at the MAST recording studio in Bari (Italy), I had the chance to be actively involved in the recording and post-production phase of a studio album. My contribution was essential for the technical organisation of the recording session (patching, routing the analogue console and setting up the recording session), for the miking and leading the recordings and for the Post-Production phase (mixing and mastering). High precision and organisational skills were required to limit the errors and save time for the success of the work.

I had the chance to work for Oreegano Srl producing the sound effects and soundtrack of an interactive videogame for promotional purposes. This opportunity led me to work with the programmer and the graphic designer of the team, professionals not specifically involved in the music field, which gave me the confidence to succeed in any professional environment.

During my previous academic years, I learned that my love for music crosses paths with different fields. My search of knowledge brought me to a new challenging academic experience at the University of York for the MSc in Audio and Music Technology. In this course, I widen my perspectives and approached audio and sound in a scientific manner. I got deeply involved in programming, I got a strong knowledge of digital signal processing, audio synthesis, psychoacoustic, hardware interfacing for audio and music, acoustic 3D modelling and more. My research project examines the various implementations of audio for interactive media inside multiple virtual environments (2D, 3D, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality).

I feel that the multicultural environment and the thriving state-of-the-art researches in the York AudioLab has helped me grow as a professional, and as a person.
I am more ready than ever to embark on new challenges with passion and curiosity.
